Brendan Kelly, Managing Director - Heathcotes Northern
Brendan joined the Heathcotes Group in 2009 after having worked at Regional Director level with a national charity. During his career he has acquired fourteen years’ experience in Health and Social care, primarily in adult mental health and learning disabilities.
Brendan has a wealth of experience in delivering, managing and developing services including crisis services, supported living and carer education. He continues to work towards an MBA with a particular focus on the culture of organisations and strategic leadership.
Brendan is the strategic lead for the operational aspects of the organisation, including quality and compliance, learning and development and employee relations.
Brendan is based at the Heathcotes Group head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Mikkel Togsverd, Managing Director - Heathcotes Southern
Mikkel has worked in care for 20 years and he has worked at all levels - from Support Worker to Director.
The majority of his experience has been in Learning Disabilities and he is hugely passionate about understanding what life is like for the people we support and the staff that support them, and also ensuring that individuals supported receive the highest quality of care.
His short term plan for Heathcotes Southern is to harmonise the services into how Heathcotes operate and ensure that the teams and managers are welcomed and supported through the transition. The services share a similar ethos to Heathcotes, with great results in terms of transforming people's lives. Longer term, Mikkel is already looking at other properties and companies to purchase, as our clear intention is to grow the Southern portfolio substantially over the coming few years.
Angela Sydenham, Financial Director
Angela is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, having qualified in 1990. Angela has over 20 years’ experience in accounting and financial management and joined the Heathcotes Group in 2007 as Financial Accountant before becoming Financial Director in 2010.
Angela is responsible for the smooth running of the finance as well as producing annual accounts, strategic and financial planning and corporate acquisition.
Angela is based at the Heathcotes Group head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Tracy Johnson, Head of Learning and Development and Strategic Projects
Tracy joined The Heathcotes Group in November 2006 as a Service Manager at Heathcotes Kirby Muxloe, Leicester. She has worked with the social care sector for eighteen years supporting adults with a Learning Disability, complex needs and associated challenging behaviours.
Tracy has held various positions within the group including Training Manager, Regional Manager and Head of Operations before securing her current position of Head of Quality and Compliance where she is responsible for Quality Assurance and Learning and Development. Tracy sets very high standards for the Heathcotes services and has developed a robust audit tool which is applied across the organisation.
Tracy is based at the Heathcotes Group head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Dr Peter Burbidge, Head of Psychology and Clinical Lead BSc. PG.Cert., Clin.Psy.D. CPsychol. AFBPsS
Peter joined the Heathcotes Group in October 2015 as Head of Psychology and Clinical Lead and is responsible for developing the new specialist residential treatment centres for service users with a Learning Disability and Personality Disorder.
Peter trained in Hull and has worked as Lead Psychologist in a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) for the last six years where he specialised in working with people diagnosed with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. He was also responsible for setting up, developing and running the Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) team and last year he obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in DBT from Bangor University.
He has also had specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and is a registered user of the Diagnostic Interview for Social Communication Disorders (DISCO).
In his previous work for Heathcotes Peter has provided psychological assessments and interventions in our specialist Autism service at Whitley Bridge and our specialist Prader-Willi syndrome service in Bridlington.
Gemma Hollingsworth, Head of Service
Gemma joined the Heathcotes Group in 2010 as a Team Leader at Heathcotes Bridlington. She then progressed to Service Manager at Heathcotes Whitley before accepting a Regional post for the Yorkshire region. In 2017 she was promoted once again to the position of Head of Service.
Gemma has over 12 years’ experience in a variety of settings including secure services in the independent sector, supporting adults with a Learning Disability and Challenging Behaviour.
Gemma is the strategic lead for Heathcotes Personality Disorder services as well as the Prader – Willi syndrome services. Gemma is also the operational lead for all of Heathcotes Northern services.
Gemma spends her time working from the different Heathcotes service across the UK but can be contacted via the Heathcotes Group head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Natalia Lysiuk, Head of Commissioning
Natalia joined the Heathcotes Group in 2015. Before joining Heathcotes Natalia worked in a commissioning role for an independent mental health provider and prior to that in executive search recruitment.
Natalia is responsible for the growth of Heathcotes service portfolio nationally, both increasing existing occupancy and identifying new service development prospects. Natalia is responsible for our Commissioning team, whose primary focus in increasing Heathcotes occupancy.
Natalia spends her time meeting external stakeholders across the UK but can be contacted via the Heathcotes Group head office in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
Natalia leads our marketing and communication strategy with a focus on increasing Heathcotes brand presence.
Joanne Cole, Head of Services
Joanne joined the Heathcotes Group in 2010 as a Team Leader at Whitley Farm Cottages. She then progressed to Registered Manager at our Bridlington Service, which specialises in supporting individuals with Prader-Willi Syndrome, where she remained for 5 years, delivering outstanding results for this very complex client group.
Jo then took on the role of Locality Manager at a cluster of services in Wakefield, managing some of the most complex people we support, and delivering consistently Good CQC ratings in a very challenging environment; the services in question remain some of our most successful and stable. Following on from this she was successful in an application for Regional Manager for North West Yorkshire, taking on a larger service portfolio across a wider geographical area, before progressing to her current role of Head of Services for the Central area, where she is responsible for the day to day operations of all services in Notts, Derbyshire and Leicestershire – including a range of specialisms and service types
Joanne has over 16 year’s experience in Health and Social Care, including in secure settings, supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disability and challenging behaviour. She is particularly skilled in project management and turnaround situations, and has a keen interest in positive behaviour support strategies and employee development.”
