Keeley's Blog - part 1

8th Jun 2012

My name is Keeley Ward and I'm the Behaviour Specialist for Heathcotes Care. I'll be blogging on a regular basis, to give a flavour of my role and responsibilities and hopefully, to highlight the excellent work carried out in all of our homes that often goes unnoticed. I'm passionate about what I do most of all, about improving the life choices and opprtunities to the people we support.

Sunday 3rd May 2012 – Off to the Hoveringham fete today to help a good friend of mine with a couple of stalls. I bumped into staff and service users from Heathcotes Arnold doing a stall, and they raised over £45 for The Shepherd school, Nottingham!

Monday 4th May 2012 – Bank Holiday, day off relaxing; Congratulations Your Majesty!

Tuesday 5th May 2012 – Head Office in Chesterfield today, sandwiches and cake to celebrate the jubilee with the admin team. I supplied the cake, although I must admit I didn`t actually make it!

Wednesday 6th May 2012 – Early start (I like early starts!) as off to Bridlington today. Collected some old garden furniture for Hucknall as they will recycle and reuse. All ready at Brid for the builders to start their magic! Two new service users join us today in Sawley and Blythe. I've done a lot of work around transitions and such with the Managers - hope they are very happy with their new placements.

Thursday 7th May 2012 – Off to Sawley and Blythe today to see the new service users and spend some time with staff. Also stopping off at Hucknall to deliver their new/old furniture.
