Keeley's Blog - week 8
Tuesday 03/07/12 – Nottingham first thing and then beginning the 100plus monthly reports this afternoon. They are time consuming however offer a great way to provide oversight of the behavioural issues we are working with, as well as being a valuable form of communication with Care Managers and families.
Wednesday 04/07/12 City hospital in Nottingham today to attend the parent support group for parents/carer of people with Downs Syndrome and Autism. I have my trusted escort with me - Denzel Bailey.
Thursday 05/07/12 – Nottingham again today to meet up with the newly appointed Deputy Regional Manager for Arnold, Hucknall and Watnall. She may be newly appointed but Allison Stafford has been at Heathcotes for some time. We are discussing different approaches to some challenges we are currently facing
Friday 06/07/12 – A sort of annual leave day, however made time to meet Brendan and Allison to discuss action plans for one of our homes to ensure the manager is getting enough support during periods where service users are challenging the service. These type of meetings are great as when you are involved you realise what a knowlegable team we have!
