Heathcotes Blackburn is a large, detached, purpose-built home, on a quiet street on the outskirts of the residential heart of Blackburn. It is a five minute walk to the town centre and all amenities, with ready access to Witton Country Park, museums, art galleries and theatres; the city of Blackburn has a wealth of facilities from leisure to educational and community based projects, offering the people who use our service real choice and opportunities for social inclusion.

Due to the location of Heathcotes Blackburn, it is close to the local transport routes and just a five minute drive from the main motorway networks, giving easy access to the whole of the North West, including the vibrant city of Manchester and coastal areas such as Blackpool and Morecambe Bay.

Heathcotes Blackburn comprises two floors, offering 13 single bedrooms, a large communal lounge, dining room and kitchen as well as four bathrooms and wet-rooms to offer full access for all abilities. The large utility room caters for training in independent living skills, enabling those who use our service to increase their skills in this area. To the back of the home is a large landscaped and secure garden area.

The home has recently benefitted from a total interior refurbishment, resulting in a new lease of life for the service. Our Registered Manager, Amanda Dean, is a lively, enthusiastic and hands-on manager and this is reflected in the vibrant atmosphere of the home, the staff team and the people who live here.
