Heathcotes Aylestone is a specialist residential service for adults with a Learning Disability who may have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. Heathcotes Aylestone has seven ensuite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support.
The service provides two communal lounges with sensory areas, a large kitchen and dining area and access to a large landscaped garden with basketball nets and trampolines. There is also a dedicated activity room for arts, crafts and using the computer.
Heathcotes Aylestone has Wi-Fi throughout allowing service users to stay in touch with family and friends, access e learning and use the internet.
Heathcotes Aylestone is situated in a residential area of Aylestone on the outskirts of Leicester and close to a wealth of community facilities including local shops, leisure centres, parks and a cinema. The service also enjoys easy access to Leicester city centre, Aylestone Meadows and Fosse Park.
There are many opportunities for service users to develop new skills; Leicester College, Freemen’s Park Campus, is just a short distance away and service users are encouraged to take part in the running of the household including budgeting and shopping.
There are excellent transport links with the service being located on the main bus route into Leicester city centre and surrounding towns and the M1 motorway is just a short drive away.
