Heathcotes Basford is a specialist residential service for adult females with Mental Illness who may have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. Heathcotes Basford has five ensuite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support.
The service provides a large communal lounge, conservatory, kitchen and dining area with access to a large garden complete with benches and seating areas. All bedrooms are at ground floor level and there is a communal bathroom in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. Heathcotes Basford has Wi-Fi throughout allowing service users to stay in touch with family and friends, access e learning and use the internet
Heathcotes Basford is situated in a residential area Basford, Nottingham and close to a wealth of community facilities including local shops, a gym, sporting facilities and cafes. The service is also close to Parkhall Country Park and a golf course.
There are many opportunities for service users to develop news skills; Clarendon College is just a short walk away and there are several arts and crafts centres in Sherwood. Service users are encouraged to take part in the daily running of the household and can assist with the upkeep of the garden and drive area as well as being involved with updating and maintaining the décor at the service. Service users at Heathcotes Basford are also offered the opportunity to contribute to the training team, advising staff on how to best manage any physical health conditions they may have.
The service has excellent transport links with regular buses and trams into Nottingham City Centre and the surrounding area. The M1 motorway is just a short drive away providing good links to Leicester, Derby and Yorkshire.
