Heathcotes Erdington is a specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities who may also have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. Heathcotes Erdington has eight ensuite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support.
The service provides two large communal lounge, a sensory room, kitchen and dining area with access to a large garden complete with benches and seating areas. There are two ground floor bedrooms and there is a communal bathroom in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. Heathcotes Erdington has Wi-Fi throughout allowing service users to stay in touch with family and friends, access e learning and use the internet
Heathcotes Erdington is close to a wealth of community facilities including local shops, a gym, sporting facilities and cafes. There are several colleges in the area that provide accessible courses for individuals with learning disabilities and autism. The service is also close to Pype Hayes Park and is 5 miles from Birmingham city centre.
There are many opportunities for service users to develop news skills; individuals are encouraged to take part in the daily running of the household and can assist with the upkeep of the garden and drive area as well as being involved with updating and maintaining the décor at the service.
The service has excellent transport links with regular buses into Birmingham City Centre and the surrounding area. The M6 & M42 motorways are also just a short drive away.
