Grove House is an eight-bedroom detached home located in Sutton. Each room in the home is ensuite and spacious. The home has two large living spaces, one of which will be a quiet space for individuals to access, and the other will offer a smart TV with ample seating space for movie nights and games consoles. There is also a spacious conservatory with large patio windows into the garden. There is an open plan kitchen with a separate dining room with a large dining space for 8 people. The dining room also has a large set of patio doors leading into the garden. There is a large, naturally secluded, garden that has a paved area for sitting and a large lawn area. There is a quiet end of the garden which will function as a sensory garden. There is a laundry room with 2 commercial washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is a large communal wet room/bathroom with a shower and toilet.
All staff are NAPPI (Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Interventions) trained and use the NAPPI red and green scale to maintain a positive influence on each service user, with a view to minimizing the level and frequency of challenging behaviour. Service users may have spent long periods of time in a hospital setting or may have additional complex needs including sensory impairments and communication difficulties.
Heathcotes Grove House is situated in a residential area in the London Borough of Sutton, Surrey. The service is just 5 minutes from the main train station and a 5-minute stroll the town centre.
There is a local shop across the road, and nearby community facilities include cafes, leisure centres, a library and a cinema. Nearby Sutton College offers opportunities for education, with accessible courses and distance learning.
Being located on a main bus route, service users are able to easily access the surrounding areas of Epsom, Ashtead and Ewell. The M25 providing direct links to Central London is less than 30 minutes’ drive.
