Heathcotes Woodseats is a specialist residential service for adults with a Learning Disability and Autism who may have dual diagnoses and associated complex needs. Heathcotes Woodseats has eight ensuite bedrooms and provides twenty four hour support.
The service provides a communal lounge, quiet lounge dining area and kitchen with access to a large garden area. There are ground floor bedrooms available and a shared bathroom in addition to the ensuite shower rooms. Heathcotes Woodseats has Wi-Fi throughout allowing service users to stay in touch with family and friends, access e learning and use the internet.
Heathcotes Woodseats is situated in a residential area of Norton, Sheffield and close to a wealth of community facilities including local shops, cafes, sporting facilities and local pubs. The service also enjoys easy access to Meadowhall shopping centre, the Motorpoint Area, Graves Park and Heeley City Farm.
There are many opportunities for service users to develop new skills; Norton colleges are just a short drive away and service users are encouraged to take part in daily chores and maintaining the garden. Service users can also get involved in the many community based projects and work placements offered within the city.
The service has excellent transport links and is on major bus routes to Sheffield city centre, Heeley, Ecclesall Road and the surrounding areas including Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham. The Supertram routes provide easy access to Meadowhall, Hillsborough and Crystal Peaks and the M1 motorway is a 15 minute drive away.
