Our Senior Management Team is a key element in ensuring that our organisational aims and strategic objectives are translated into real, everyday actions. We believe in keeping our decision making process lean and efficient, so when we receive feedback from our team members, there is a defined feedback loop into the Senior Management Team – we listen to what’s going on in our organisation, we make decisions about things we can do differently or better and we communicate those decisions to our people in clear, uncomplicated language.
Whilst every member of the Senior Management Team has responsibility for a particular area of strategy or operational activity, we don’t just sit in a meeting room, making policies and devising work for other people to do. All SMT members also have a roving brief to carry out both planned and unannounced inspections of our services on a regular basis, and to conduct observations in line with the new Care Quality Commission ‘Essential Standards of Quality and Safety’; we believe that this flat management structure helps to ensure that our governance is in touch with what’s really going on and is responsive to the needs and wants of all our stakeholders.
