16th Aug 2011

Heathcotes are happy to advise that in recent weeks, several service users have been supported to make the transition into more independent settings - a source of great pride for everyone within the Group. The company has also completed major refurbishment projects at several homes, resulting in additional capacity to provide specialist residential placements for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. These success stories have created vacancies in several homes:

Heathcotes Arnold, Notts - 1 vacancy

Heathcotes Hucknall, Notts - 1 vacancy

Heathcotes Sawley, Derbys - 1 vacancy

Heathcotes Balby, S Yorks - 2 vacancies (2 new bedrooms recently registered with CQC)

Heathcotes Knollbeck, S Yorks - 1 vacancy

Heathcotes Blackburn, Lancs - 4 vacancies (3 of these vacancies created in the newly refurbished apartment)

Heathcotes Phoenix, High Peaks - 3 vacancies (total refurbishment of the three homes allowed Heathcotes to create the additional 3 bedrooms)

Keeley Ward, Heathcotes Clinical Behaviour Specialist said, "It's always pleasing to oversee a placement that enables an adult with a learning disability to gain the skills and confidence required to give them the best possible chance at a succesful independent living placement; that's what Heathcotes is all about!"

Brendan Kelly, Head of Operations continued, "We're happy to take enquiries or referrals from existing stakeholders, or from professionals who maybe haven't worked with use before but are interested in what we do."
