Get on your bike!
On 2nd October, Tony, who lives at Heathcotes Knollbeck, and Ian, Gary and Kevin, all members of the Support Team, will be embarking on an epic bike ride, to raise money for the Help the Heroes fund. They'll begin their journey at the home in Brampton, Barnsley, and will cycle to the Heathcotes Group new site in the neighbouring city of Wakefield, before turning around and riding back; a total journey distance of around 25 miles, using the Trans-Pennine Trail.
Tony said, "My brother is in the Royal Navy, so Help for Heroes is my favourite charity; I can't wait to get pedalling!"
Brendan Kelly, Head of Operations for the Heathcotes Group and a keen cyclist, added, "This is a great idea - I'm really proud of the lads. Help for Heroes is a fantastic charity and as we've just introduced the Cycle to Work scheme, a charity bike ride seems a perfect fit; I'll be joining the lads on their ride and hopefully, we'll have fun and raise some money for a good cause."
