Welcome aboard Mick!
Training and learning are crucial aspects of a quality organisation and with the recent departure of our incumbent Training Manager, we've taken the opportunity to review our approach to employee training and development.
The result of that review is the creation of a new role, Learning Co-ordinator, and we're dleighted to welcome to that new position Mick Murphy; Mick is a qualified and innovative learning and development professional, with over 25 years experience as a practitioner and manager within social care, the corporate sector and HM Forces. As well as designing and delivering a range of learning interventions to enable staff to support vulnerable people more effectively, he was also instrumental in establishing a talent management and leadership programme for aspiring managers. More recently he delivered freelance personal development training to support people back to work.
Mick said, "I'm particularly passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their potential, and the value of effective and imaginative communication in the workplace and in supporting vulnerable people."
He continued, "Heathcotes struck me as organisation that has very similar values to my own and I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into this exciting new opportunity."
Brendan Kelly, Head of Operations, said, "I'm really pleased to welcome Mick to Heathcotes - we have some exciting things planned in terms of learning and development and I'm confident that he'll add significant value to our Senior Management Team."
