The Heathcotes group recognises the value of lifelong learning and continuous professional development and as evidence of that, we would like to offer our sincere congratulations to our latest graduate, Barry Price.
Barry joined Heathcotes in 2009 and progressed through the group to become Northern Regional Manager in 2010. During supervisions and his annual appraisal, Barry identifed a desire to further his management expertise by taking a formal course of study and his line manager Brendan Kelly had no hesitatin in recommending a course of study with the Chartered Institute of Management.
Barry enrolled at Hull College on the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Management and was surprised when his allocated assessor Catherine Hunt called him to arrange his induction and guide him through the assessment - Catherine had completed Barry’s Level 2 Diploma in 2007!
Level 7 qualifications recognise highly developed and complex levels of knowledge which enable the development of in-depth and original responses to complicated and unpredictable problems and situations. This level of learning involves the demonstration of high level specialist professional knowledge and is appropriate for senior professionals and managers. Level 7 qualifications are at a level equivalent to Master's degrees, postgraduate certificates and postgraduate diplomas.
Having recently completed the course and attended his graduation ceremony, Barry said, "Without the support of the Heathcotes Group, I would not have had the confidence or back-up to achieve this qualification, so I'm really grateful to everyone."
Brendan Kelly, Head of Operations, added, "I'm very proud of Barry and really pleased that we could support him with this qualification - it's increased his confidence and I'm already noticing a difference in the way he works; well done Barry!"
