High Tea at Heathcotes Blythe

9th Feb 2013

Family and friends were cordially invited to High Tea at Heathcotes Blythe at the weekend!  With individually designed invitations handmade by our service users, everyone was keen to come and sample some sweet treats.

There were cucumber sandwiches aplenty and of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without scones with lashings of jam and cream - all washed down with a cuppa, or two!

The afternoon was a resounding success, with High Tea at Heathcotes Blythe being the first visit to the home for some.

Although not everybody could agree on preserve-spreading etiquette (should the jam be spread atop the cream, or the cream atop the jam?!), it was a unanimous verdict that the day had been a great one!

Here are some of the lovely comments about the day from our guests:

"We've enjoyed today.  It’s been great and it’s also a wonderful job you are all doing, thank you very much" - Parent, Heathcotes Blythe

"It was a lovely afternoon and all the staff should be proud of themselves for today, they have done Heathcotes proud." - Grandparent, Heathcotes Blythe

"A lovely informal gathering; nice to meet the other parents.  Appreciate all the hard work the staff have done today and do every day" - Parent, Heathcotes Blythe
