Heathcotes Watnall have Grand Designs!
Heathcotes Watnall has recently undergone some major works to the rear of the premises to create some extra space at the service. Home Manager, Sarah Lycett has been utilising a 'temporary office' (aka a Portakabin in the garden!) for some time, so watched with excited anticipation as builders got to work in the home's grounds to erect the chalet-style wooden structure, affectionately referred to by staff and residents as the 'Summer House'. The new 'extension' to the serivce will not only house the new manager's office, but also a large activity room which will provide further opportunities for the people who live for service users to work, rest or play.
As you can see from the pictures, exterior works are now completed and we are sure you will agree, not only is the summer house a fantastic practical addition to Heathcotes Watnall, it also looks great! Interior works are now well underway and Home Manager Sarah is planning a mini official opening day, marking the occasion with an activity fun day with all Heathcotes staff and service users invited to participate!
Sarah Lycett says “I would like to thank David Harrison and the rest of the SMT for making this possible for my service users. I know they will get a lot of enjoyment out of this new space. I am really excited to be able to share this space with other homes as well and see the different service users come together and enjoy our activity facilities.”
