Terrance Makes a Difference

10th Feb 2014

When Terrance expressed a wish to help others, staff from Heathcotes Arnold were privileged to support him to undertake some fundraising for well-known children's charity, the NSPCC.  After artistically decorating his tin, Terrance was supported to travel to Heathcotes Head Office in Chesterfield, where staff from the HR, admin and accounts departments were more than happy to contribute to the very worthy cause.  Terrance and his supporters then travelled onwards to neighbouring services in Nottinghamshire, where Terrance had the opportunity to talk to peers and staff, and received some more generous donations for his tin!  Terrance's hard work paid off and he successfully raised £33.77.

Upon receiving the kind donation, the charity wrote to Terrance to let him know that the money he raised would help fund the NSPCC's range of services in Nottinghamshire through their new Service Centres and ChildLine Schools Service, which exists to help every primary school child understand how to recognise and protect themselves from abuse.

Rachel Whiteman, Registered Manager at Heathcotes Arnold said, "Terrance loves to help others and has a really big heart.  He enjoyed fundraising and meeting new people and it's really rewarding for Terence to know that his charity work is making a real difference in his community".

A huge well done on a fantastic effort Terrance, from all at Heathcotes!
