Nottingham staff have been enrolling on Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships in social care with Chesterfield College this week.

As part of our commitment to lifelong learning and workforce development, Heathcotes works in partnership with Chesterfield College to deliver work based qualifications.

Having completed our accredited Skills for Care Induction, staff progress through the remainder of their probation.  Once this is complete they are enrolled on a Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship, depending on their role.  Heathcotes supports staff through an apprenticeship model as this also develops wider skills in numeracy, literacy, thinking and planning.

Mick Murphy, Heathcotes Learning & Development Manager says, "As well as upskilling and empowering our workforce, the apprenticeship and adult qualification route is a recognised multiplier in terms of personal well being and improvement of future employment opportunities".

Having just completed their functional skills assessment one learner said, "Achieving a level 3 qualification will really help me in reaching my career goal, hopefully as a behaviour specialist working in Heathcotes".
