Employee Focus: Donna Walker
Today we hear from Donna Walker who works at Heathcotes Sawley.
Donna has worked in the world of social care since 2009, supporting the elderly in their own homes before joining the Heathcotes team in September 2013 in the capacity of support worker.
Within three months of working at Sawley Donna was chosen by a service user to be his key worker, a role that Donna has really enjoyed. Other staff see Donna as a very bubbly character who always has the best interests of the service users she cares for at heart. She pays attention to detail and has been instrumental in developing the support plans of the service users she is more heavily involved with caring for.
We're very excited to report that Donna is currently stepping up into the role of acting Team Leader at Heathcotes Sawley and she is enjoying the challenge of taking on this extra responsibility. As well as stepping up, Donna is also enrolled onto the QCF Health and Social Care Level 2 course.
In the short amount of spare time that Donna has from looking after her two teenage children she enjoys reading and socialising with her friends.
