Today we meet Beth; Beth's friendly face is the first to greet you when you come into our new Head Offices!  Here's Beth's story in her own words:

I have worked for the Heathcotes Group since October 2011 and started working here as an apprentice studying for my NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration.  During my time at school I was always very interested in Health and Social Care and I completed placements at a home that was geared towards caring for adults with learning disabilities, I also gained experience working with the elderly and thoroughly enjoyed my time working in these areas.  The world of Health and Social Care has always been an interesting field for me and is one of the reasons I chose Heathcotes as the company I wanted to work for.

I worked hard and completed my apprenticeship in 2012 and was given the responsibility of completing the staff files for new starters in the East Midlands region, a large region currently totalling nine homes.  When our offices moved in March 2014 I had my own desk built for my new position as Front of House at the head office.  I really enjoy being the first face that everyone sees as I get the opportunity to meet our new and existing staff when they come to the Heathcotes Learning Zone for their training, since most of our staff are based in the homes it's always great to put faces to names.  My time working in an office setting has really helped me develop my skills, confidence and knowledge yet I am still really passionate about the people within our services.  I would love the opportunity to become more involved with the homes Heathcotes run as the group really does do a fantastic job in putting our service users first.  Hopefully as my career progresses I will be able to become more integrated into the care side of the business and complete an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, progressing onto the Level 3 course after as I work towards my big dream of becoming a Home Manager!

I thoroughly enjoy the hustle and bustle of the head office setting, every day is a new challenge.  The renovations done on our new building have really improved the head office environment, it's a building that I am proud to work within!
