Every year the dedicated ladies at Heathcotes Bridlington take part in Cancer Research UK's Race for Life and 2014 was no different!  Five staff and service users signed up for the race which started from Sewerby Hall & Gardens on Sunday 22 June.  All donning the event's traditional pink attire and with the sun peeping out from behind the clouds, the ladies successfully made their way around the 5k course.  Some of our race finishers even completed the distance in under an hour: a great achievement!

Although with a serious cause at the heart of the event, there is never any shortage of fun and laughter on the day as people unite in their fundraising efforts in aid of Cancer Research  - with lots of activities at each event, as well as food, drink and dressing up, it is always a fun day out.. and our ladies certainly enjoyed themselves!

As a result of their hard work, the grand total raised by Team Bridlington looks to hit the £200.00 mark, an absolutely fantastic effort!

Race For Life holds events all over the country during the summer, encouraging women to run, walk or dance their way round the course to 'show cancer who's boss!'.  Entry is still open for some events, but if the one in your area has already taken place there is a chance to register as an early-bird for next year.  For more information visit:
