More college success at Kirby Muxloe!
Following on from Ryan's earlier college success, we are very proud to report that Elizabeth, who also lives at Heathcotes Kirby Muxloe, has successfully completed a course in 'Safety and Wellbeing'. Elizabeth has been studying hard over the last few weeks, with the course content covering general health and safety, road safety and safety in the community.
Attending this course presented some challenges for Elizabeth as she adapted to the new environment, met new people and explored the wider community. But Elizabeth's committed and focused attitude to learning saw her settle in well to her class routine, with the help of a core team of supporters lead by Louise, a support worker at Kirby.
Elizabeth enjoyed her course so much that she is already in the process of signing up to another course for next year and Heathcotes is supporting her all the way!
At Heathcotes we support people to greater independence, including opportunities to access education, vocational training and employment, both paid and voluntary. Read more about our vision and values here: http://www.heathcotes.net/about/
