Reg Gets Crafty!

29th Jul 2014

At Heathcotes we support and empower our service users to try out new activities both in-house and in the community.  Hobbies are often formed as a result and occasionally, a hidden talent is uncovered - this is exactly what has happened for Reg at Heathcotes Blackburn!

Whilst exploring new opportunities for Reg, Rebecca, one of our support workers at our Blackburn service introduced him to arts and crafts.  Getting out the paints, crayons and felt pens, Rebecca encouraged Reg to get crafty!

Now a month on from the Reg's first encounter with the crafts box, and with continuing support from Rebecca, Reg has found a passion for drawing.  It is evident that not only does Reg enjoy this activity, he also clearly has a previously undiscovered talent.  Judging by the work of art in our picture, you will see that Reg clearly has a flare for drawing!  Keep up the good work Reg and we look forward to seeing some more masterpieces in the future!

To discuss how our activity programmes give real choice and opportunities that are tailor-made to the individuals we support, please call our Head Office team on 01246 556453.
