At Heathcotes social inclusion and meaningful activity is an important focus and we are always looking for inspiration for enjoyable days out with our service users.  Heathcotes Knollbeck recently asked people living at the home for ideas for a daytrip and several good ideas were thrown into the ring.  After careful consideration Mark and Paul settled on a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

With the car all packed up, the group made the journey to the park.  The day was spent walking around in the hazy late summer sunshine, exploring all the different areas within the Park, including the Lemur Woods and the African Plains.  A favourite was a wander around the new Project Polar section where Victor the Polar Bear has recently taken up residence!

After a required stop at the Safari Store for refreshments and keepsakes of the day, everyone made their way back to Knollbeck where the weary group enjoyed recounting the tales of their day.
