Heathcotes Wakefield prepare for Diginity Action Day

15th Jan 2015

Dignity Day310x200

Dignity Action Day (#DAD2015) is fast approaching on 1 February 2015 and Heathcotes Wakefield have been getting their preparation done early.

The purpose of this day each year is to raise awareness of the importance of Dignity in Care, demonstrating that everyone in the community has a role to play in treating everyone with dignity.

Service users with their support workers went out to fetch supplies before sitting down together to create some fantastic posters and information on the 10 Dignity Challenges.  These challenges include points such as treating each person as an individual and having a zero tolerance on all forms of abuse; values that Heathcotes regard highly across all services.  You can find out more about this Day at www.dignityincare.co.uk.

The great posters that our service users have created are now decorating the walls at Heathcotes Wakefield.  No doubt we will be bringing you more news about this day soon!
