Happy Halloween from Heathcotes Yorkshire

2nd Nov 2015

Halloween SAM 0485

Service users and staff from across the Yorkshire region enjoyed a fantastic Halloween party on Friday hosted by Heathcotes Knollbeck.

Service users at Knollbeck shopped for Halloween treats and helped staff members bake a large selection of cakes and buns. All service users were involved in preparing the buffet and one of the service users had spent a lot of time growing and nurturing pumpkins in his allotment ready for the occasion. The decorations were hung by another group of service users so the preparation really was a team effort.

All service users a the party entered into a competition for the best costume and prizes were awarded for the winners.

Service Manager, Katie Viaggars, said, “It was brilliant to see service users from across the region coming together to enjoy the Halloween party. Everyone had made such an effort with their costumes and service users excelled in completing their allocated tasks for the party. The skills they have used and developed in planning and organising the party goes to demonstrate just how far they have come. We are all very proud of their progress and can’t wait for next year!”
