Earlier this month staff and service users from across our Nottinghamshire services began attending fitness sessions at Heathcotes Woodborough, as part of a wider healthy living strategy.  Each session was designed to support people to get moving with DVD workouts, Zumba and balloon work.  There was also a focus on healthy eating, with the group rounding off their sessions by preparing a healthy snack, including fruit juice and fresh fruit smoothies to help refuel after their exercise.

This week saw 4 service users achieve their Certificate of Attendance for successfully completing 4 healthy living sessions - pictured receiving their certificates from Service Manager, Sarah Lycett.

Sarah said, "It's been great to see everyone getting involved, getting moving and enjoying themselves.  The sessions have been both fun, and educational and there is a real buzz of enthusiasm in the services to continue with healthy living plans.  We have been looking at nutritious food choices, as well as exploring opportunities for activity both at home and in the local community.  Everyone has worked really hard and it's been a pleasure to recognise those achievements today."
