Heathcotes Group – Statement following NHS cyber attacks
Following the events of this weekend, in which a number of organisations were subject to a ransomware cyber-attack, we would like to reassure all of our partners and stakeholders that the Heathcotes Group has been unaffected by this issue.
We have consulted with our IT specialists throughout the morning, and we are assured that we have several layers of security in place around our IT systems that significantly reduce our vulnerability; we will also be taking further steps to ensure that we have additional protections against malware delivered as bogus email attachments.
In the meantime, our IT team are monitoring our server activity closely, and we have instructed all of our Service Managers to follow guidance from their local NHS Trust in terms of the availability of NHS services locally; we recognise that it is vital to work with our NHS partners until all of their systems have been restored to full functionality.
