You can bank on Heathcotes Hucknall for generosity!
Individuals at Heathcotes Hucknall love getting involved and helping the local community, so it came as no surprise when they decided to start 2018 with a commitment to support a designated charity.
Service users and staff chose Children’s Air Ambulance and the Hucknall site now includes a clothing bank which is operated by the charity. Founded in 2012, Children’s Air Ambulance is the first and only dedicated helicopter transfer service for critically ill children – a flying intensive care unit. It helps children across the UK get to the care and support they need, four times faster than if they were to go by road.
Located outside the front gates and accessible to the public, the clothing bank is ideally placed to invite additional contributions from the local community. Service user TF stepped up to make the first deposit when he raided his wardrobe to gather various unwanted items that he’d been saving to give to charity. Many people have followed TF’s example and the bank looks set to become a plentiful source of donations for Children’s Air Ambulance. Hats off to Heathcotes Hucknall!
