Heathcotes Middleton celebrates World Down Syndrome Day
The 21st of March was World Down Syndrome Day and it was marked with a special celebration across our group. Heathcotes Middleton had particularly fun time celebrating!
We decided to throw a party to support the global campaign, which encourages opportunities for people with Down syndrome to contribute to the community and live valued lives, included on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society.
JC, one of our service users at Middleton, has Down syndrome so the staff and his peers decided to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day and it was very enjoyable occasion; lots of fun was had by all!
World Down Syndrome Day highlights that people with Down syndrome can bring so much to the community, wherever they live around the world, when given the opportunity. JC certainly brings a lot to life at Heathcotes Middleton and he is a very popular resident, well-liked by staff and fellow service users.
