Fundraising suits Heathcotes to a tea!
Heathcotes have always appreciated the value of a good brew. When our Eversley services found out about Time for a Cuppa, a charity initiative in aid of Dementia UK, they had no hesitation in showing their support with a morning of tea and lashings of cake.
Time for a Cuppa is all about fundraising through the gathering of family, friends and colleagues. The idea is simple: stick the kettle on, put out the crockery and enjoy a good natter. At Eversley, all of the cakes were baked by the staff and service users on the day. Plenty of tasty treats were washed down with a warm drink as everyone indulged for a worthy cause. Their copious consumption proved to be very worthwhile with a fantastic total of £100 raised by the event!
Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through its Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult, its nurses work alongside people with dementia and their families, giving them the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions they need.
Heathcotes Eversley were pleased to do their bit to help the charity – and they’re already looking forward to the next opportunity!
