Sun-soaked fun as Heathcotes hula at Hawaiian party!

9th Jul 2018

The 2018 summer has certainly started better than any we can remember – so far, so sunny! Given the almost tropical weather of late, Heathcotes’ Agbrigg services were spot-on with their choice of a Hawaiian theme for a recent garden party. Other services from around the region were invited to drop in for a hello and a hula.

The event featured its own fish and chip van, bouncy castle, Tikki hut, raffles and piñata as well as an abundance of loud shirts and garlands. One of the day’s most popular entertainments was ‘Splash the Manager’ – the target in question, Rob Buchanan, received a thorough soaking and one or two other staff fell victim as the rules of the game strayed from its original title!

Agbrigg is the latest of many Heathcotes services to take advantage of the scorching temperatures with a garden party. Various Surrey services gathered to enjoy a bouncy castle and live music at the Friends of Chatsworth Fun Day, held at Heathcotes’ Larkrise services in Sutton, whilst Heathcotes Erdington grilled up a feast with two mouth-watering barbecues in as many months. We’re a sociable bunch at Heathcotes, so there are sure to be many more sun-worshipping get-togethers in the coming months!
