A stirring performance for charity!
Various Midlands services gathered for a coffee morning at Heathcotes Erdington to put in a stirring performance for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The World's Biggest Coffee Morning, which takes place every September, is Macmillan’s largest fundraising event. It invites people all over the UK to put the kettle on, enjoy a brew and raise donations. Staff and service users at Erdington committed themselves to some thirsty work for charity and served up some delicious baked treats to wash down with a cuppa or three.
James Jarvis, Service Manager at Heathcotes Erdington, commented on the event:
“We raised an astonishing £60 for Macmillan - a fantastic result! I would like to thank everyone that came from the other Midlands services, they were a great help and it was very enjoyable to gather for another social occasion. We will be inviting the other services over again for Halloween and we look forward to catching up soon.”
