Heathcotes Watnall is a beautifully refurbished, detached property set in the residential outskirts of Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. Just a short walk from local shops, pubs and other local amenities, and surrounded with leisure opportunities, including Hucknall town centre and Nottingham City Golf Club. The home is on the outskirts of Hucknall, a five-minute drive from the M1 and a ten-minute drive from Nottingham City Centre. Local bus stops provide easy access to surrounding towns and villages such as Hucknall, Nottingham City Centre and Bulwell. The area is well served by cycle lanes, providing opportunity to travel in a more sustainable way if desired.
Heathcotes Watnall comprises of two stories offering six large single bedrooms, as well as ample communal space such as spacious lounge, chill-out room and a huge garden, with adult play equipment and basketball nets.
This home has a friendly, family atmosphere, where support workers and service users have very positive, relaxed relationships with each other. The service provides exciting and person centred activity programmes for each individual, including access to adult education opportunities. The home is managed by Allison Stafford, a qualified LD Nurse with an outstanding local reputation for providing a very high quality of care and a genuinely person centred service; Allison manages both Heathcotes Watnall and the adjoining Heathcotes Hucknall, and is overseeing the project to build a brand new bungalow in the grounds.
