Heathcotes Balby is a stunning, purpose built home, situated in a quiet crescent in the residential outskirts of Balby, Doncaster. It is close to all local shops and amenities, as well as the nearby Cusworth Country Park, Edlington Wood and Conisborough Castle. The home is near to local transport links, including bus routes and motorways, ensuring that the nearby town centre of Doncaster is accessible, together with towns and cities further afield, such as Sheffield and Rotherham. The local area has a wide range of leisure and educational opportunities.

The home itself has been newly built by our specialist contractors, to exacting standards. The design was strongly influenced by consultation with many of our existing partners and stakeholders, including service users and their families. The layout, specification and finish of the home is therefore reflective of the needs of our client group, whilst avoiding any sense of being an institution - we’re proud that this has resulted in the creation of a genuinely homely home with the look and feel of a large, family bungalow.

The service provides accommodation for eight adults and features a lovely, spacious lounge with an adjacent sun room, a large dining room and a well-equipped kitchen. An amazing games room on the second floor provides opportunities for pool, table tennis and other activities, or the opportunity to relax on beanbags away from the day to day activities of home life. The outside space is equally impressive, featuring a huge garden on three sides of the house.

This home has developed an excellent reputation for working with individuals who may have challenged other services, and for providing community access and social inclusion opportunities in circumstances that are not always straightforward; our Registered Manager together with the dedicated staff team, has created a service that has integrated well into the local community and delivered genuine quality of life improvements for people using the service.
