Heathcotes Bridlington is a specialist residential home providing care for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome.
Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare disorder related to an abnormality on the 15th chromosome. Prader-Willi Syndrome typically causes low muscle tone, short stature if not treated with growth hormone, incomplete sexual development, and a chronic feeling of hunger that, coupled with a metabolism that utilizes drastically fewer calories than normal, can lead to excessive eating and life-threatening obesity.
The home is located in the attractive Historic Old Town area of Bridlington, and is a gorgeous property, which when acquired by Heathcotes immediately underwent a large refurbishment project, to modernise the building and provide specialist services designed specifically for the use of our Service Users.
The property provides accommodation for 10 Service Users and consists of one large central building providing 6 rooms. The property also boasts 3 self-contained flats and a separate cottage.
The stunning property is located a mile away from the beach and is within walking distance of local shops, train station and has excellent access to transport links.
Heathcotes Bridlington prides itself on involvement in the community, and offers genuine inclusion; the service actively seeks to support Service Users to take part in the activities that mean something to them.
