Hats the spirit! Rotherham tea party supports Dementia Awareness
Heathcotes always welcome an opportunity to indulge in fancy dress and our Rotherham services found a fantastic excuse when they held a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in support of Dementia Awareness.
It was a lively gathering graced by various characters from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, including March Hares, Mad Hatters, the Queen of Hearts, Tweedledum, Tweedledee and Alice herself. The spread on the dining table was equally impressive, featuring a wonderland of sweet treats that had cake-loving guests licking their lips and grinning like Cheshire Cats.
Heathcotes Rotherham certainly know how to throw a party with a difference, having recently hosted a collection of tarantulas, owls, snakes, skunks and other exotic creatures to celebrate the 51st birthday of service user, PB. Rachael Hughes, Service Manager at Heathcotes Rotherham, said:
“It was a great social occasion for our staff and service users and everyone really got into the spirit of the Alice in Wonderland theme – we had some brilliant costumes and we’ve definitely become a service that enjoys a good party!
